Rejoice the Season! : It's got a grand entrance/exit kind of vibe. There's a lot of accents and ties in the piece. I'm curious to see how all the parts fit together since ours is kind of simpley complex.
First Impression: We didn't play terrribly as a band if I am being quite honest. Of course it wasn't perfect the first time but it has a lot of potential to be one of our stronger pieces.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas : Our part is very simple, which I'm scared of because I don't want our part to be boring. From first look, it seems like this piece will only take us a week or two to master. There is a time signature change.
First Impression: It reminds me of Scooby-Doo, it looks easy but when you get into it, it's a little more difficult than when you first glance at it.
Once in Royal David's City : This one looks scary and first glance, but once we break it down it won't be so hard. There's a lot of eighth and sixteenth notes in the middle of the piece but it's still during the peacefully tempo so it shouldn't be terrible. There is a couple key signature changes.
First Impression: This is going to be a extremely pretty piece, I can already tell. Measures 30 - 32 I know are gonna be a little difficult to master and are gonna require some additional work.
Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24 : This is the longer of the 4 pieces. It doesn't look too bad since it's a majority of eight and quater notes. There's a lot of articulation (staccatos, ties, accents).
First Impression: Very powerful, probably gonna be our ending piece.
